The use of waterpipes is prohibited in enclosed public places and workplaces. No employer or employee shall allow such use or provide or supply to any person a waterpipe for use in an enclosed public place or in an enclosed workplace.

Waterpipe – means any lighted or heated smoking equipment used to smoke tobacco or non-tobacco substances or any combination thereof in a form that may be smoked or inhaled.

This is a leading edge bylaw because it prohibits the use of waterpipes (including other weeds and substances) in enclosed public places or workplaces. It uses section 10 (2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, for the authority to prohibit waterpipe usage.
