Bylaw No. 1694-2007, Smoking Regulation Bylaw, 2007

Smoking prohibited within 7 m of an entrance, operable window or air intake vent of a public building (building or structure on land owned by the City); in or upon any outdoor public space (an outdoor children’s playground, playing field, sports venue, stadium or sports facility located on land owned by the City).

Cigarettes, Cigars, Pipes, Other Tobacco Products, Other Weeds and Substances


“Smoke or Smoking” means the inhaling, exhaling, burning or carrying of a lighted cigarette, cigar, pipe or other lighted Smoking equipment burning tobacco or any other plant or substance, but does not include Smoking by actors as part of a stage or theatrical performance.

Doorways, air intakes, operable windows
Municipal Property
Playgrounds, which may include Splash Pads and Wading Pools
Sports and Recreational Fields and Facilities
