Bylaw No. 061, Town of Jasper Smoking Control Bylaw

Smoking prohibited on patios.

Note that during a regular council meeting on 27 February 2018 Council discussed the sale and use of cannabis in Jasper, and inquired about buffer zones, designated smoking areas, and future decisions required of Council.

The CAO will create a list of municipal duties related to the legalization, and a proposed map highlighting where people can and cannot smoke in town.

“Smoke” or “Smoking” shall mean the carrying, holding or otherwise controlling of a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe or any other lighted smoking equipment.
