Bylaw No. 2651, 2014 City of Pitt Meadows Parks and Community Facilities Regulations

No person shall ignite any substance for the purpose of smoking or burning within a distance of 10 metres of a playing field; sports field/court or children’s play ground.

There are no definitions for playing field sports field/court or children’s play ground. Instead, these are captured in the definition of a park:

“Park” includes public parks, playgrounds, driveways, boulevards, beaches, swimming pools, community centres, play fields, linear parks, dykes, including hiking, biking and riding trails, buildings, and other land owned, leased, licensed or otherwise controlled by the City.

Playgrounds - Buffer Zone 1-10 m

This bylaw only exceeds the SFOA in that “any substance” is included in the ban.
